South Korea Inflation Rises 2.1% On Year In April

(fxcue news) - Consumer prices in South Korea were up 2.1 percent on year in April, Statistics Korea said on Friday. That was in line with expectations and unchanged from the reading in the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, overall inflation rose 0.1 percent - again matching forecasts and easing from 0.2 percent in the previous month. Core CPI was up 0.4 percent on month and 2.1 percent on year, accelerating from 0.2 percent on month and 1.9 percent on year in March.
